A huge THANK YOU to all who attended, sponsored, and assisted
with our annual New Year's Eve Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre.
Over 280 people were in attendance for a fine dinner provided by
Lowe's Motor Speedway and a MURDER AT THE SPEAKEASY. The near
capacity crowd danced to the tunes provided by Phil Taylor and
watched Boots Legger meet an untimely demise at the hands of his
brother, Ernest. Of course Anita Buck, Malissa Forethought,
Billy Batts, and Carlato Gespacho also were prime suspects and had
their own reasons for Boots to 'go away'.
Initial estimates are that over $2500 was raised by our silent
auction. Classic Art of Concord provided several fine watches,
autographed sports memorabilia, paintings, and Waterford crystal.
The Southern Piedmont Woodturners provided several beautiful pieces
that added that Concord touch to the items available. A
Pittsburgh Steelers helmet signed by the Steel Curtain, and a Don
Larsen autographed photo from his perfect World Series games were
the highest priced items to be sold.
If you missed out this year, make sure to plan on attending on
12/31/2008 as we continue to provide the best New Year's Eve
entertainment in Concord, NC.
