 Show Sponsorships

The Old Courthouse Theatre (OCT) is Cabarrus County’s only permanent, community theater. This year marks our 32nd season of offering quality theatrical productions – both youth and adult. Old Courthouse Theatre, (OCT), was formed in 1976 by local individuals to promote the arts in Cabarrus County, primarily the performing arts.

Our patrons, audiences, actors, volunteers and stage crews are primarily from Cabarrus County with significant representation from Rowan, Mecklenburg, Union and Stanly counties.

Old Courthouse Theatre has produced and performed over 150 stage plays and musicals as well as captured numerous regional and statewide awards and honors. Throughout it's history, OCT has provided opportunities for actors, stage crew, directors, musicians and other artists either through adult/youth theatre productions or via adult/youth roles in main stage performances.

Our Community

OCT would like to offer you the opportunity to partner with our well—known and established organization to provide vital arts and cultural experiences to our community.    Supporting community theatre is an excellent choice to show your grass roots involvement in the entire Cabarrus Region. Community theatre draws in a wide range of people from all walks of life and of all ages. It brings family, friends and communities together to enjoy the arts. Sponsorship plays a vital role in what a theatre can accomplish.

Benefits

· A direct mailing list reaching approximately 2,500 homes

· Over 400 email newsletter contacts

· Advertisements placed in the Standard & Times, The Independent Tribune, and the Charlotte Observer’s Cabarrus Neighbors.

· Notices sent to over 35 regional media outlets including local radio and Internet list servers.

· Your company name and logo on each page of our website through the end of the show.

· 1,470 potential audience members per show who have paid the price of admission.

Your sponsorship of Old Courthouse Theatre puts your company name in the hands, before the eyes, and firmly in the minds of a significant market with disposable income and an affinity for the arts in Cabarrus County.

As a 501 (C) (3) non- profit organization, a  portion of your sponsorship may be tax deductible.

Here’s How

Headline Sponsors contribute the full budgeted amount for a production. They receive above the title credit on all playbills, posters, advertisements and other promotional material, a private performance for up to 210 guests with a reception both before the show and at intermission, and acknowledgement in all press releases and from the floor at the beginning of each performance.

Producing Partners contribute one half of the budgeted amount for a production. Producing Partners receive below the title credit on all playbills, advertisements, posters, and other promotional material, tickets for up to 100 opening night guests and acknowledgement in all press releases and from the floor at the beginning of each performance.

Other sponsorship opportunities are available such as ticket, mailing, newsletter, playbill, and printing sponsorships. Or, treat your employees or friends to “A Night at the Theatre” by simply purchasing a block of seats for a particular performance.  Your sponsorship gift will be used to compensate for expenses each show incurs from royalty rights, costumes, sets, props, printing, and publicity that is necessary to make each production a success.
