Do you have yours?

Have you purchased your season tickets yets?  If not, you are missing out on one of the best ARTS values in the entire area.  This season OCT will be presenting five shows, instead of the usual four.  And by purchasing season tickets, you will get to see all five shows for the price of just four.  Regular Adult tickets are only $60 per person.  Compare this to just one show at some of the larger venues around the area, and you will see what a tremendous value this is.  Click here to see the dates for each show and get information on how to order.

What a Month!
August 2007.  Surely a month to remember at the Old Courthouse Theatre.   We started out with a children's production of Bridge to Terabithia.  This production was directed by Kelly Slusarick and was truly memorable.  We had a tree growing out of our stage.  Rumor has it that during intermission of one show, a patron actually walked onto the stage to touch the tree, and turned around with a look of amazement on her face.  Thanks to all of the children, parents, and volunteers that worked on this production.

August 13 & 14 were two nights of auditions for Into the Woods.  WOW - almost 100 people showed up for the auditions.  Director Jim Kidd and Music Director Laura Layton had their hands full picking from this talented group of volunteers.  Keep checking our website for the cast list to be posted soon.

Then the college and high-school ages took to the main stage with a flash back to the 1980's presentation of The Comedy of Errors.  We had a working city square fountain on our stage.  James Shafer and his cast and crew spent many hours building, painting, and rehearsing to bring Shakespeare to life in a manner not seen by many before.  Considering that this was the second Youth presentation of the summer, a huge BRAVO is due to all involved.

And then the icing on the cake.  The announcement of the Metrolina Theatre Association (MTA) nominees for their 4th Annual Awards.  For the first time in the four year history of these awards, Old Courthouse Theatre has received nominations.  Not just a nomination, but a total of nine (9) nominations for the shows Annie Get Your Gun and Grace & Glorie.

Below is our list of nominees.  CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL!
