Get Involved With Old Courthouse Theatre

Audition for a role: Auditions are open to everyone. Usually there are "cold" readings from the script and if the play is a musical a song needs to be prepared. There is no pre-casting. No experience is necessary.

Volunteer to usher, help with intermission, or any Guild project.

Volunteer to work back stage. All areas need volunteers willing to help design, build, paint, run lights or sound, sew, clean, look for props, look for costumes. No experience is necessary.

Buy a season ticket and come to the plays. Buy an individual ticket and come to the plays.

Be a Corporate Producing Partner or Sponsor. The Producing Partner pays half of the budget for a production and the Sponsor pays the entire budget. In return, the Producer or Sponsor receives publicity in the print media; radio and TV, on cable access, posters, and direct mailings. There is a special performance for 210 invited guests or employees just for the Producer or Sponsor with reception before the performance and at intermission. At each performance the Producer or Sponsor is thanked before the performance. If possible the logo or product is used on the set.

OCT is a not-for-profit community theater so any donation to OCT is tax deductible.

Volunteer time or supplies for renovation projects. Paint for windows and painters to help paint, mulch, plants, and yard work, inside plaster work, plumbing repairs, shop tools, ceiling repairs and supplies. There are many projects. Some are less time consuming than others.

Light Electrical work – change outlets and switches, repair light fixtures, change light bulbs
Heavy Electrical work – change circuit breakers, install new circuits
Landscaping – Weed eating, mulching, trimming, paver installation
Building maintenance – clean gutters, power washing, sweeping sidewalk
Place phone calls for office to volunteers, press, etc.

Grant Writing
Parking Lot attendant for shows
